Cost Reduction, Engaging Interactions & Integrated Assessments

🔍 Business Need:​ The line of business needed to turn a PowerPoint deck into a self-paced online course with a built-in assessment. At the time, assessments were handled by an external vendor, costing about $20 per attempt for all new hires and all incumbents every other year. The goal was to bring the process in-house to cut costs while still delivering an effective and engaging learning experience.​

🎯 Learning Solution: We used Rise for quick development and added creative, engaging interactions. I built Storyline video call simulations that mimic real-life scenarios, like helping an agent navigate a sensitive compliance situation. These interactions gave learners hands-on decision-making practice, followed by clear explanations of the compliance reasoning. Our goal was to turn a dry, info-heavy topic into something memorable. This type of learning reduces learning fatigue and boosts retention through emotional response, all while humanizing the learning experience. ​

Impact: This course saves the company approximately $20,000 per year and has reduced legal involvement by up to 75% for this topic. Beyond cost savings, the course empowers employees to navigate sensitive scenarios with greater confidence and accuracy, reinforcing ethical standards and improving customer interactions.
